Character Name: Heero Yuy
Fandom: Gundam Wing (the anime, including insert manga)
Canon or Alternate Universe: AU - The Gundams are still huge gigantic mechs, but... they have another part to them: android girls, built for battle and paired with soldiers trained from a very young age to handle them and work in perfect unison. The girls jump into a special section of the gigantic mecha and aid in piloting the thing from the inside during space battle. This, of course, causes some of the events to play out a bit differently, but that will be explained as they come.
Canon Point: August 12 (13?), year AC 195. Aka, episode 19. After breaking Duo out of OZ's clutches, I'm assuming they stopped somewhere to rest.
Species: Human
Age: 15
Appearance: Heero. From the chest up, anyway. He's right around 5'1 (haha, short ::SHOT::), kinda skinny but still muscular.
Background:The year is After Colony 195 ...Sorry, I couldn't resist. ... Ahem.
This, as the link states, is Heero Yuy's earlier life. That much... pretty much remains the same, save that his learning to pilot a Gundam also meant he met his female android partner, named Wing along with the giant Mobile Suit she represented. Wing was not with Heero when he destroyed the Alliance base in AC 194, however, she did her best to ground him (her version of "comforting" him) after the fact until the order that they were to be retrained and "without emotion". As the wiki points out, it isn't certain that this retraining occurred, and in this AU, it's even less likely. Or at least, it probably didn't work as well.
Operation Meteor and the resulting aftermath/whatever more or less proceeded the same way in this 'verse, save for a few minor details.
Nearly a month later (it is now August 11, AC 195) Heero is in space, using Duo Maxwell's name as a cover to attend school while he works on his own agenda. Wing was left on earth, as the Mobile Suit was incapable of proper space battle at the time. He overhears that the real Duo Maxwell has been captured by OZ and goes in... with the intent to kill him. He changes his mind and rescues him instead.
And then, he wakes up in a strange hotel....
Reality Description: Earth, in the future. Of course, they cheat with specifics and just give it a whole new era: AC, which stands for After Colony, beginning when several nations have established space colonies in Earth's orbit. This of course means that it's safe to assume that space travel is reality, as well as commercial.
The nations of Earth have united into the United Earth Sphere Alliance, and they rule over the colonies exceedingly harshly. Of course, the colonies are not happy about this. Thus all the warring and rebellion going on.
Mechas, gigantic robots, are used for battle. Called Mobile Suits, they come in two forms: those that require piloting, and those that don't (called "dolls"). In addition, there exist very special Mobile Suits called Gundams. These are created from a metal known as Gundanium alloy. This alloy, a rare and very nearly indestructable substance, can only be created in outer space. Gundams also come with the added bonus of an android being, who traditionally is to go by the same name as the Mobile Suit she is "part of". They're human in appearance and size, usually teenaged and female. For piloting purposes, she enters a chamber built directly into the Gundam and assists in piloting from there. (Analogous to other sci-fi canons with spaceship "avatars," etc.) Aside from piloting the Gundam, this android is also capable of hand-to-hand combat and has extensive firearms knowledge. They are soldiers in wartime, after all. Each android's personality is developed to a bare minimum and left to evolve on its own from there, which generally results in the android becoming very compatible (in a COMBAT sense, thank you) with the pilot she is paired with.
There's a handy (though rather vague and terse) timeline of canon here, if you're interested.
Powers/Abilities: He's been dubbed "The Perfect Soldier" for a reason. Heero is ruthless in battle, trained in firearms use as well as hand-to-hand combat. His aim is deadly, his reflexes are crazy, and his endurance is solid. He has some skills with hacking, too, which can come in pretty handy. Of course, he's still a squishy human...
Not that it matters in Ciciero, but when paired with his Gundam, Wing, they are very nearly unstoppable. He can also pilot a Mobile Suit, clearly.

- Wing didn't attend school with Heero. She was either damaged and therefore stuck with the damaged Gundam, or she stayed behind since both of them going to the school would be a "tactical disadvantage".
- When self-detonating, Heero very nearly did not go through with it. It was Wing that told him to go through with it -- they'd failed, they could not surrender, and she was ready for the end in this case. So, he pushed the button.
- The fight in Antarctica was still done with Trowa's Heavyarms, but working with Heavyarms (who is a crazy woman, by the way, kthx) was not working out so well. In fact, he may have lost if Relena hadn't interrupted them.
